CHCB, Inc. Appoints Timothy S. Banks, Physical Therapist; Rashaun Crule, Certified Personal Trainer; Fernando A. Pineda, Registered Dietitian

Rashaun Crule, BA, PES, INHC, Certified Personal Trainer; Timothy S. Banks, MSPT, Physical Therapist; and Fernando A. Pineda, MS, ATC, RD, CDN, CSCS, Registered Dietitian, Athletic Trainer are accepting new patients at CHCB, Inc.’s Physical Therapy departments at 34 Benwood Ave and Westminster Commons, 419 Monroe St. Call 716-986-9199 (Press 9) to schedule appointments.

 

The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. has announced the appointment of Timothy S. Banks, MSPT, Physical Therapist; Rashaun Crule, BA, PES, INHC, Certified Personal Trainer; and Fernando A. Pineda, MS, ATC, RD, CDN, CSCS, Registered Dietitian, Athletic Trainer.

The announcement was made by Dr. Kenyani Davis, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer.

Timothy S. Banks, MSPT, Physical Therapist

Timothy S. Banks, Master of Physical Therapy and Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT), will serve as Physical Therapist overseeing patient care at CHCB, Inc’s Physical Therapy Departments located at 34 Benwood Ave., and at the Westminster Community House, 419 Monroe St., Buffalo. 

Timothy holds Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College, Buffalo, NY, and also has served as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at D’Youville. He is a Licensed Physical Therapist, State of New York.

Prior to joining CHCB, Inc., Timothy served as a Physical Therapist – Rehab Home Care MSHC with Catholic Health, Buffalo, NY.

He was also owner/Physical Therapist for Banks Physical Therapy, Buffalo, NY, and has extensive experience as a Physical Therapist with multiple Buffalo-based organizations, including Episcopal Church Home, Main Medical PC; Diversified Rehabilitation Services; and Sheehan Memorial Hospital. He also served as Physical Therapist – Outpatient/Acute Neurology, Orthopedic, Acute Care, Rehabilitation with United Health Services – Wilson Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

Timothy is also a veteran, having served as a Medical Specialist during multiple Gulf War tours of duty. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and has been cited for his community leadership, including a past member of the Leadership Buffalo “Rising Leaders Program”; Health Ministries Program, volunteer for Greater Hope Baptist Church; and service as a referee, coach and cub master with the North Buffalo Rams youth football; Kensington Little League; Buffalo Players youth basketball; and the St. Phillips Community Center

 

Rashaun Crule, BA, PES, INHC, Certified Personal Trainer

Rashaun Crule joins CHCB, Inc. with over 20 years of experience and demonstrated success in helping clients of all ages reach their fitness goals.

Prior to joining CHCB, Inc., Rashaun served as Director of Personal Training with Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network (GBUAHN). His extensive experience also includes Assistant Director for Sports Recreation, Community Action Organization, Buffalo; and Recreation Coordinator, City of Buffalo-Recreation Department (Grider-Delavan Community Center).

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/Health, Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, and an associate degree in Physical Education/Health, Erie Community College.

He is also National Academy of Sports Medicine certified as a Coach for Integrated Health.

Throughout his career, Rashaun has been recognized for numerous leadership and volunteer accomplishments, including coaching and developing the Amateur Athletics Union for over 15 years; mentoring over 100 students to earn academic and sports scholarships; serving as coach of the New York State Champion Park School Girls basketball team, and serving as a Board Member for the Cory Graham Foundation (2010-2016).

 

Fernando A. Pineda, MS, ATC, RD, CDN, CSCS, Registered Dietitian, Athletic Trainer

Prior to joining CHCB, Inc., Fernando previously served as Registered Dietitian Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network (GBUAHN). He also was a Clinical and Bariatric Dietitian with Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls, NY, where he also oversaw NFMMC’s “Competitive Edge” program as Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, and a Master of Science degree, in Clinical Nutrition, State University of New York at Buffalo. He also participated in the Dietetic Program at the State University of New York College at Buffalo. Fernando also holds multiple certifications, including Athletic Trainer Certified; Registered Dietitian; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; and First Aid, CPR.AED Instructor.

In addition to his CHCB, Inc. duties, Fernando also serves as Head Athletic Trainer/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Tuscarora Tomahawks, Senior B Men’s Lacrosse Team within the Can-Am Lacrosse League based out of the Tuscarora Nation, Lewiston, NY; and as Head Athletic Trainer with the Haudenosaunee National Lacrosse Men/Women Teams. (Team Haudenosaunee represents the Iroquois Confederacy in international field lacrosse competition. They are currently ranked third in the world by World Lacrosse after winning Bronze at the 2018 World Lacrosse Championship. The team is organized by the First Nations Lacrosse Association.)
