Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. Receives $20,000 Grant from Fidelis Care

Funds Contribute to CHCB’s Ongoing Community Engagement Activities

Jennifer Lyons, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fidelis Care, presents a check in the amount of $20,000 to Dr. LaVonne Ansari, Chief Executive Officer, Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc., at a recent meeting of the organizations’ teams at the Center, 34 Benwood Ave., Buffalo.

BUFFALO, NY – Aug. 16, 2022 — Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. recently received a grant of $20,000 from Fidelis Care, a mission-driven health plan with more than 2.5 million members statewide, including throughout Buffalo and Western New York. The funds will be utilized to support ongoing community engagement initiatives.

“Fidelis Care is proud to support the Community Health Center of Buffalo, especially with their ongoing efforts to help the Tops employees who were impacted by the tragic events of May 14,” said Jennifer Lyons, Director of Sales and Marketing, Fidelis Care. “We know that through our strong partnership with CHCB, this grant will provide support and resources for many individuals and families right here in our community.”

“We are very grateful to Fidelis Care and their parent company Centene,” said Dr. LaVonne Ansari, Chief Executive Officer, Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. “We are on call seven days a week, 24 hours a day for those Tops employees who were most impacted by May 14. Along with being with them for the grand re-opening of the Jefferson Ave. store, we plan to be with them on this journey.”
